i was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and have lived here my entire life. never lived anywhere else! fashion has played a big role in my life for as long as I can remember. i remember going shopping and picking out what i wore on my first day of kindergarten, it was such an important outfit!
in 2007, the perfect job fell
in to my lap (literally - the previous stylist fell snowboarding and
couldn't work!) - wardrobe stylist at a Los Angeles based e-commerce
company. And so my career in the fashion world started. then, in 2010 i finally received my BA in Fashion & Textiles with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising from California State University, Los Angeles. i'm still working at the same e-commerce company, but now i am working as the studio manager - managing 3 full time stylists & the samples coordinator.
i currently live in highland park (northeast LA) with my boyfriend and our dog carlos.

the blog:
i started this blog back in march of 2009 for my fashion & computers class (see my first posts here!). i loved doing the blog, but between my full time job & full time school course load, i couldn't find the time to update the blog regularly and so it fell to the back burner. after i graduated in 2010 i felt a need for some kind of creative outlet and started blogging again.
when i originally started the blog for my class i wanted to be anonymous - i didn't want my face on the blog at all! i was planning to snap photos of stylist folks i saw on the street, favorite looks from fashion shows, etc... when i started blogging again after graduating, i quickly found out that was easier said than done! i decided then that this would be my personal style blog - not just what i wear, but what i eat, drink and do in this vast and diverse city i live in!

in december 201o, i gave the blog its first make-over - a fancy header and a new domain!
